Different Stages of Intelligent Plant Construction
The construction of intelligent plant is a long term project, for which a delicate plan is needed and should be executed exactly step by step. The basic construction philosophy is as follows:
Construction stage: laying the foundation of visualization and automation.
The infrastructure, including meters, site equipment,system and wireless network should be constructed as a whole system to build the foundation of intelligent plant, and reserve interface for applications.
Early operation stage : upgrading visualization and automation, so as to lay the foundation of digitization.
On this stage, the security and reliability of production should be improved based on the existing devices, the production capacity should be increased, furthermore energy consumption and emission should be decreased. Apart from operation and production improvement, personnel ability, including working efficiency and coordinating ability shall be improved, too.
Late stage operation: entirely improving automation, digitization and intelligentization.
On this stage, the optimization of production and output value can be achieved through control system improvement. From procurement to product marketing, every link of the whole industrial chain, with the help of intelligent supply chain, can be seen and coordinate with each other to optimize the value chain.
In conclusion, according to the different improvement directions of intelligent plant, solutions in the scope of infrastructure, safety & environment compliance, equipment management and enhancement of personnel ability must be carried out during the construction of the plant or reserved with space, while solutions in the scope of production efficiency, energy consumption & emission could be accomplished gradually during the operation stage.
